A BENEFIT CONCERT FOR JAPAN EARTHQUAKE AND TSUNAMI RELIEF

(Brooklyn, NY) Dance Project New York (DPNY) presents "DANCE for JAPAN", a benefit dance concert for Japan earthquake and Tsunami relief on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at 8pm. Different generations of Japanese and American dancers will come together to perform various styles of dance wishing fast relief and recovery for the people suffering in Japan.

The concert will be mainly performed by Japanese professional dancers in NYC including Yuriko Kajiya (American Ballet Theatre), Ryoko Kudo (Limon Dance Company), Maile Okamura (Mark Morris Dance Group), Harumi Terayama (Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet), Kanji Segawa and many others.

Japanese students from American Ballet Theatre's Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis (JKO) School will also perform.

The program will include works by choreographers such as Alexander Ekman, Francesca Harper, Jessica Lang, José Limón, Lar Lubovitch, Mark Morris, Jennifer Muller and Pam Tanowitz.

The concert will be hosted by actress, Emi Ikehata (The Grudge 3).

100 percent of the tickets sales will be donated to Japan Society for the Japan Earthquake Relief Fund.
