What I wanted to express in this dance was "LOVE". Love is very important when we are alive. Even when Orpheus was separated from his wife, love somehow comes in between them.
In this performance, I've choreographed the world of life and death to show the relevance of love. In the world of life, those who cannot appreciate their life and those who live negatively would live in suffering even after death. These emotions were expressed by the six male dancers. Orpheus was to seek for his wife in the world of death to show eternal love for her. In all human race, love is eternal and everlasting no matter where there is life or death. I am determined to continue showing the importance of "love" in all my dance.
The stage light coordinator was influenced at my dramatic approach of dance and he wanted to give me more than 100% of his effort to accomplish this dance. With two days of careful planning and over a rehearsal, we've finally agreed on our stage light effects.
